Modular Luxury Lodge
A luxury modular lodge featuring integrated smart home technology and discreet architectural audio.
This project for Tingdene represented a unique engineering collaboration: a luxury show lodge built and wired entirely off-site. Designed to push the boundaries of modular construction, the lodge was manufactured in two halves at a specialist facility before being transported to the site for final assembly. We were brought in to design the core smart home infrastructure and ensure that the advanced technology would survive the journey and connect seamlessly upon arrival.
We worked closely with the manufacturing engineers to design a "split-link" wiring architecture. This allowed the complex systems—including HVAC integration, lighting control, and security—to be installed in two halves and connected once the two halves were married up onsite. This required meticulous planning and a creative approach to infrastructure that traditional on-site builds rarely demand.
To maintain the lodge’s high-end aesthetic while working within the constraints of modular wall and ceiling construction, we selected DLS Flatbox speakers. These compact, surface-mounted units deliver audiophile-grade sound without requiring invasive structural voids.
The result is a fully realised smart home that demonstrates that luxury and high-performance technology can be delivered anywhere, regardless of the construction method.
