We were commissioned to design and install a premium background audio system for Roast, the renowned restaurant overlooking the historic Borough Market. The brief called for a discreet, high-performance sound solution to enhance the dining experience across multiple levels without compromising the venue’s iconic aesthetic.
Working in collaboration with Earworm, who provide the venue's managed music and curated playlists, we engineered a system that delivers consistent, crystal-clear audio across two restaurant floors, the bar, and the restrooms. To ensure the sound met the venue's high standards, we utilised Sonance Professional Series speakers, powered by Cloud amplification and digital processing for rock-solid, day-to-day operation. The system also features the flexibility to support local inputs for live performances, allowing the atmosphere to transition seamlessly from afternoon dining to evening events.
Understanding that a busy restaurant cannot afford downtime, our team completed the entire installation over consecutive nights outside of opening hours. This ensured the space was left clean, tidy, and ready for service every morning, without disrupting the business. Since its completion in 2017, the system has delivered flawless performance, proving the value of investing in high-quality, commercial-grade hardware and precision installation.
