We were incredibly proud to collaborate with Together for Cinema, a not-for-profit organisation that provides free cinema room installations for children’s hospices across the UK. This meaningful project transformed a former paint store at St Andrew’s Children’s Hospice in Grimsby into a safe, accessible, and fully immersive cinema space, where children and young adults with life-limiting conditions can enjoy unforgettable moments with their families.

The Sonic Vision team managed the project end-to-end — from AV system and visual design, helping with equipment sourcing, full installation and ongoing servicing. Our design reflected St Andrew’s branding and focused on accessibility, safety, and comfort, ensuring a joyful experience for children, families, and carers alike.

To create an exceptional audio-visual environment, we installed CNC-machined acoustic panels featuring custom-printed children’s movie artwork, paired with surface-mounted Monitor Audio speakers with matching custom-printed grilles. A dropped ceiling enabled discreet cabling and the integration of height speakers for a truly immersive surround-sound experience. The addition of RGBW colour-change lighting and a twinkling star ceiling completed the space with a magical, cinematic atmosphere.
