We were commissioned to design and install a premium background audio system for Roast, the renowned restaurant located in Borough Market, London. The brief called for a discreet, reliable, and high-performance sound solution that would enhance the dining experience without disrupting the venue’s elegant atmosphere.

Our system was designed to stream managed playlists from a commercial music service across two restaurant floors, the bar, and the restrooms, with the flexibility to support local inputs for live performances. To achieve consistent, crystal-clear sound, we used Sonance Professional Series speakers for their robust design and acoustic performance, paired with Cloud amplification and digital processing for reliable day-to-day operation.

The installation was completed entirely outside of opening hours over two consecutive nights, ensuring zero disruption to restaurant service. Since its completion in 2017, the system has delivered dependable performance and seamless audio coverage, contributing to the warm, welcoming atmosphere that defines Roast.
